We meet Selly Thiam, our host, and FannyAnn Eddy—a Sierra Leonean lesbian activist murdered in 2004.

FannyAnn’s story was the first of many Selly reported about LGBTQ rights on the continent and lead to her forming the Africa-wide digital media organization, None on Record.
